Kanyakumari is a coastal town in the state of Tamil Nadu on India’s southern tip. Jutting into the Laccadive Sea, the town was known as Cape Comorin during British rule and is popular for watching sunrise and sunset over the ocean. It’s also a noted pilgrimage site thanks to its Bagavathi Amman Temple, dedicated to a consort of Shiva, and its Our Lady of Ransom Church, a center of Indian Catholicism.

Kerala, a state on India’s tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It’s known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife.     01 - Kochi - Munnar

    01 – Munnar

    You are greeted on arrival at the Kochi International Airport/Railway station by Our Staff and thereafter depart for Munnar (130 kms / 4 hrs) enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. Arrive Munnar and check in at hotel. In the evening you can go for sightseeing of Munnar and witness tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. Overnight at Hotel.

    Day 02 - Munnar Sightseeing

    Morning breakfast at hotel later sightseeing of Munnar visit Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park – famous for Nilgiri Tahr(Wild goat), Anaimudi Peak – South India’s Highest Peak, Tata Tea Museum, Tea Plantations, Mattupetty Dam, Echo-point, Kundali Lake etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional), Historical Church, International Blossom (Hydel) Park, evening go for shopping Overnight stay in Hotel

    Day - 3 Munnar to Thekkady

    Morning drive to Thekkady covering a distance of 110 kms / 3.5 hrs through cardamom hills. Check into the Resort. After lunch visit Periyar Wild life sanctuary Boating, spices plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, and tea estate, thekkady jeep safari, , Ayurveda massage, elephant ride, kathakali ( dance), kalaripayattu (martial arts) etc… On way back to hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight stay in Hotel.

    Day 04 – Thekkady to Alleppey/ Kumarakom (Houseboat)

    Day 6 Kovalam - Trivandrum - Kovalam

    Today morning after breakfast you can go for the sightseeing of Trivandrum [The Capital of Kerala]. Here you can see the 260 year old Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple, covers an area of 2400 sq Km, Puthan Maliga Palace Museum [200 year old Palace of the Travancore Maharaja’s], Napier Museum [Which has an electric display of bronzes, temple carts, Ivory carvings etc..] and Sri Chitra Art Gallery. Evening relax at beach. Overnight at the Resort.

    Day 07 : –Kovalam – Kanyakumari Visit

    This morning you will be transferred to Kanyakumari (The lands end of India).  lunch at Hotel on they way. After Lunch Visit Kanyakumari Mandir, Tri-Samudra Milan, Gandhi Mandapam In the evening you will visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and return to the mainland to see the spectacular sunset in the Arabian Sea. Return Back to Kovalm over night Say at kovalam hotel ( or stay at Kanyakumari hotel )

    Day 8 - Departure transfer to Trivandrum Airport or Railway

    Morning after breakfast departure transfer to Trivandrum Airport or Railway Station for the onward Journey.

Important Information about Kerala Houseboat services

Check-in time at Houseboat is 12.00 hrs. & Check-out time is 09.00 hrs. Houseboat will be stationed at one place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am next day due to Govt. Restrictions. Houseboats are accompanied by navigator, cook and a helper.In Deluxe category Houseboat, A/C will be operational from 9.00 pm to 6.00 am next day. In Premium & Super Luxury category Houseboat, A/C will be operational as per guest request anytime. No two houseboats are of same size and quality. The interiors of two houseboats also varies. Houseboats are for exclusive use and not shared by other guest unless specified. Guest are requested to carry mosquito and insect repellents since at night the boat are anchored along the waterway. Always keep the door of the bedroom and washroom closed to avoid mosquitoes and insects . Choices of food are limited and mostly South Indian food are served. Quality of houseboat cannot be compared with that of hotels, where the guest were staying previously. Houseboat rooms are small in size and have basic amentias.
